Ahmed Gamal Atia
Research and Development Specialist
Ahmed is an accomplished Research and Development Specialist with over a decade of expertise in chemical engineering, materials science, and applied industrial research. His multidisciplinary background spans innovative material design, green chemistry, solar cell technology, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemicals, seamlessly integrating academic rigor with industrial application.
He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Solar Energy at Helmholtz-Zentrum, Germany, following his tenure as a Research Assistant in Chemical Engineering and Energy Science at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. Atia’s research focuses on advanced solvent systems, high-efficiency energy materials, and machine learning-assisted materials screening, contributing to sustainable perovskite solar cells with efficiencies exceeding 23%. His work demonstrates a capacity to address complex engineering challenges through scientific innovation.
Previously, at the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, Atia led projects in corrosion prevention, polymer synthesis, enhanced oil recovery, and non-destructive testing. He managed interdisciplinary teams, oversaw pilot-scale experiments, and translated research into practical applications, bridging R&D and industry. His technical skills include analytical instrumentation (SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis, EIS, NMR) and computational modeling (HSPiP, DFT, Material Studio). Atia has authored technical reports, grant proposals, and patents, and presented at international conferences.
Currently, he collaborates with ServananoTechnology, providing R&D consultation and supporting business innovation. Atia’s expertise aids companies in optimizing solutions across sectors. His commitment to sustainability and technology transfer positions him to drive impactful, scalable outcomes in R&D-driven industries.
